Evaluation & Therapy Clinic
at Capitol School

The Evaluation & Therapy Clinic at Capitol School offers one-stop evaluation and therapy services for children with developmental differences.

Many families who are just becoming aware that their child might have developmental difficulties struggle to find a place to begin the diagnostic process. Further, they find it challenging to identify a clear path to follow after that process has begun. The Evaluation & Therapy Clinic at Capitol School of Austin is a community resource where everything you need to diagnose and treat a child with developmental difficulties is in one central location.

Why Choose the Children's Clinic at Capitol School?
  • Evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy at one central location.
  • We offer collaborative assessments from a multi-disciplinary team of evaluation specialists OR individual assessments for Speech/Language, Occupational Therapy, Educational-Academic or Neuropsychological.
  • Evaluation specialists include licensed Speech Language Pathologists, licensed Occupational Therapists, and Neuropsychologist (testing performed by Ph.D. Neuropsychologist, rather than a technician or student).
  • Once completed, the assessment team or individual therapist will make fundamental treatment recommendations and consult with parents. Assistance will be provided in finding recommended therapy, if it is not offered on-site. (See individual therapies offered, lower left.)
  • Capitol School of Austin has been a leader in working to meet the needs of children in our community with learning differences for 25 years.
  • Competitive pricing.

The First Step to Remediating Difficulties
Developmental differences are likely to have
an effect on your child’s social skills, behavior and
academic success. The earlier developmental difficulties are identified and treated, the less likely it is that the problems will persist or get worse. A comprehensive evaluation is the first step to remediating such problems.

The Importance of Early Intervention
Early intervention can help children be more successful with peer relationships, managing their behavior and overall communication, as well as, reading, writing and other academic tasks.

To Get Started with a Diagnostic Evaluation

To discuss the evaluation process or to schedule an evaluation or individual therapy, please contact us at (512) 467-7006.

Payment is due at the time of the evaluation. Parents will be provided a written receipt in order to file an insurance claim. The Children's Clinic at Capitol School of Austin does not file insurance claims.
